About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and technically skilled Pharmaceutical Quality Control Analyst to join their dedicated quality assurance team in Pretoria . This role is critical for ensuring that all manufactured pharmaceutical products meet stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements before release. You will perform a variety of laboratory tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using advanced analytical instrumentation. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct physical, chemical, and microbiological testing on raw materials, intermediates, and finished pharmaceutical products according to established test methods and specifications.
• Operate and maintain a range of analytical instruments, including HPLC, GC, UV-Vis spectrophotometers, and dissolution testers.
• Accurately record and document all testing results, ensuring compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Perform method validation and verification activities as required.
• Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
• Prepare Certificates of Analysis (CoAs) and other quality-related documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a pharmaceutical Quality Control laboratory setting.
• Proficiency with analytical instrumentation commonly used in pharmaceutical testing (e.g., HPLC , GC, FTIR, Karl Fischer).
• Solid understanding of GMP, GLP, and relevant pharmacopeial standards (e.g., USP, BP).
• Strong documentation skills and experience with LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System).
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in Pretoria .
