Placements24 seeks a precise Quality Control Analyst for a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Bloemfontein. You will perform analytical tests on raw materials, in-process samples and finished goods within a GMP framework to ensure product quality and safety.

Utilise instruments such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis and FTIR; document competently, calibrate equipment, and assist in deviation investigations in a modern, growth‑oriented site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacy or related science field.
• Minimum 2 years in a Quality Control laboratory, preferably pharmaceutical.
• Hands-on with analytical techniques (HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, FTIR).
• Familiarity with GMP regulations and quality systems.
• Strong attention to detail and data integrity.
• Good laboratory practices and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical testing on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
• Document laboratory activities per GMP and SOPs.
• Prepare reagents, standards and samples for analysis.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Investigate OOS results and deviations, supporting root-cause analysis.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a precise and dedicated Quality Control Analyst to join their manufacturing facility in Bloemfontein . This role is integral to ensuring the quality and safety of pharmaceutical products by performing a variety of analytical tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods. You will work within a regulated environment, adhering strictly to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and standard operating procedures. Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized analytical testing on pharmaceutical raw materials, intermediates, and finished products using various instrumentation (e.g., HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, FTIR).
• Document all laboratory activities accurately and meticulously in accordance with GMP guidelines and company SOPs.
• Prepare reagents, standards, and samples for analysis.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functioning and performance.
• Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results and deviations, assisting in root cause analysis.
• Review and approve test results, ensuring compliance with product specifications and regulatory requirements.
