About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Senior Pharmaceutical Quality Control Analyst to join their dynamic team in Pietermaritzburg. You will play a crucial part in maintaining compliance with stringent regulatory standards and internal quality management systems. Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive analytical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished pharmaceutical products using various laboratory techniques and instrumentation.
• Develop, validate, and implement new analytical methods in accordance with pharmacopoeial standards and regulatory guidelines.
• Review and interpret test data, generate certificates of analysis, and document all laboratory activities accurately and comprehensively.
• Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results, deviations, and customer complaints, determining root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
• Maintain laboratory equipment, ensure calibration, and troubleshoot instrument malfunctions to guarantee optimal performance and reliable results.
• Mentor junior analysts, provide technical guidance, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and best practices in quality control.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, or a related scientific field.

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in pharmaceutical quality control or a related laboratory setting.
• Proven experience with analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and wet chemistry methods.
