Placements24 seeks a Quality Control Analyst for a pharmaceutical manufacturing laboratory in East London. The role focuses on analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, and KF to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's in Chemistry or Pharmacy with at least 2 years in QC, strong GLP/GMP knowledge, and excellent documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of QC analyst experience in pharma.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Our client, a pharmaceutical manufacturing company based in East London, is looking for a skilled Quality Control Analyst to join their laboratory team. This role is integral to ensuring the quality and safety of our client's pharmaceutical products by performing a wide range of analytical tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products. You will work with state-of-the-art analytical instrumentation and adhere strictly to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). This is an excellent opportunity for a meticulous and technically proficient analyst to contribute to pharmaceutical quality in the Eastern Cape.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform analytical testing on raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods using various laboratory techniques (e.g., HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, KF).
• Prepare reagents, solutions, and standards required for analytical testing.
• Document all laboratory activities, results, and observations accurately in laboratory notebooks and LIMS.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to schedules.
• Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results and participate in root cause analysis.
• Ensure compliance with GLP, GMP, and internal SOPs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a related scientific field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Quality Control Analyst in the pharmaceutical industry.
