Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Quality Control Analyst for a pharmaceutical lab in Mahikeng. You will perform analytical tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished drugs to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.

You will operate instruments like HPLC, GC, and UV-Vis, document results, participate in investigations of out-of-spec results, and support GLP/GMP compliance and method validation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a QC Analyst in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Hands-on experience with analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, titration, and spectroscopy.
• Familiarity with GMP and GLP principles.
• Proficiency in data recording and analysis.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine analytical testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products using various instrumental and wet chemistry techniques.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis spectrophotometers, and dissolution apparatus.
• Document all testing activities accurately and contemporaneously in laboratory notebooks and electronic systems.
• Analyze test results, identify out-of-specification (OOS) results, and participate in investigations.
• Prepare reagents, standards, and samples for testing.
• Ensure compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and internal SOPs.
• Assist in method validation and transfer activities as required.
