Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Quality Control Analyst for a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Tembisa. The role involves performing analytical tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure quality and safety before reaching consumers.

You will operate and maintain HPLC, UV-Vis spectrophotometers, and dissolution apparatus, document procedures per GLP/SOPs, and support root cause analyses and continuous improvement efforts within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or a related life science discipline.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a pharmaceutical Quality Control laboratory setting.
  • Knowledge of GMP and GLP; proficient with analytical instrumentation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine quality control testing on raw materials, intermediates, and finished pharmaceutical products using analytical techniques.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as HPLC, UV-Vis spectrophotometers, and dissolution apparatus.
  • Document all testing procedures, results, and observations in accordance with GLP and internal SOPs.
  • Investigate OOS results and participate in root cause analysis and corrective action investigations.
  • Prepare Certificates of Analysis (CoA) and other quality-related documentation.
  • Collaborate with production and R&D teams to resolve quality issues and support process improvements.

Education

You will be responsible for performing a variety of analytical tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using sophisticated laboratory equipment. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our client's product pipeline, contributing to their reputation for quality and reliability in the pharmaceutical sector, and working within a team committed to upholding the highest industry benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine quality control testing on raw materials, intermediates, and finished pharmaceutical products using various analytical techniques.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as HPLC, UV-Vis spectrophotometers, and dissolution apparatus.
