Job summary

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking a CCTV Operator for the Cape Town region. You will monitor CCTV footage, control access to the premises, and report suspicious activity to maintain a safe environment for staff and assets.

The role requires Grade 12, Grade C PSIRA accreditation, and 1–3 years in CCTV control rooms within warehousing or pharmaceutical settings, with Hikvision experience preferred. Occasional overtime and on-call duties may apply.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric is required.
• Grade C PSIRA accreditation is required.
• 1–3 years CCTV control room experience in warehousing/distribution centers.
• At least 1 year CCTV control room experience in pharmaceutical warehousing with Hikvision experience.

Responsibilities

• Observe CCTV footage to identify suspicious activities and report to Security Guards.
• Control access to premises, documenting vehicle and pedestrian entry.
• Investigate and report signs of damage or unlawful entry to management.
• Provide professional customer and staff service when receiving guests.
• Protect company assets from theft and vandalism.
• Maintain post presence during duty hours.
• Monitor surveillance within the distribution center and alarm systems.
• Respond to emergencies and assist first responders when needed.
• Assist with opening/closing procedures and daily security routines.
