Job summary

Dis-Chem Pharmacies requires a CCTV Operator for the East London region. Render a security service under the Private Security Industry Regulations Act to protect assets, property and staff, by creating a safe environment and monitoring CCTV surveillance.

Essential: Grade 12, Grade C PSIRA, 1–3 years CCTV control room experience in warehousing/distribution and Hikvision exposure. Duties include access control, incident reporting, and emergency response within a pharmaceutical setting.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric required.
• Grade C PSIRA accreditation required.
• 1–3 years CCTV control room experience in warehousing/distribution.
• At least 1 year CCTV control room experience in a pharmaceutical warehousing environment and Hikvision experience.

Responsibilities

• Be vigilant and alert to identify suspicious activities and inform Security Guards.
• Monitor and control access to the premises by documenting and regulating entrance.
• Investigate and report signs of damage or unlawful entry to management.
• Be courteous and helpful to guests, customers, and employees.
• Protect assets by enforcing Dis-Chem security procedures.
• Remain at post while on duty and monitor CCTV footage per standards.
• Monitor alarm systems and operate emergency equipment when needed.
• Provide assistance to emergency teams in crisis situations.
• Maintain records and conduct investigations per SOPs.
