Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Pharmaceutical Production Supervisor to manage daily operations at a George, Western Cape facility. You will lead production line teams, ensure GMP and SOP compliance, and drive quality and efficiency across shifts.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in pharmaceutical manufacturing with supervisory experience, strong leadership, and a focus on safety and documentation. This on-site role offers growth in a well-equipped facility in the Western Cape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific or engineering field (e.g., Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology).
• 3–5 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, with 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
• Thorough understanding of GMP principles and pharmaceutical production processes.
• Experience with various pharmaceutical dosage forms and manufacturing technologies.
• Strong leadership, team management, and motivational skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in record-keeping and documentation for pharmaceutical production.
• Good understanding of safety procedures in manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise production line operators and technicians.
• Ensure GMP, SOPs, and safety regulations are followed.
• Monitor schedules, performance, and output to meet targets.
• Oversee operation and maintenance of production equipment.
• Train staff on procedures, safety, and quality standards.
• Inspect production floor for cleanliness and compliance.
• Troubleshoot production issues to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
• Collaborate with QA, Maintenance, and Supply Chain.
• Promote continuous improvement and policy adherence.
