The ideal candidate has extensive pharmaceutical manufacturing experience, strong GMP knowledge, and a track record of team development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years in pharmaceutical manufacturing, with ≥3 years in supervision.
• Strong GMP knowledge and quality control principles.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a production team.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in production documentation and record-keeping.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of sterile manufacturing or solid dosage forms is advantageous.
• Based in Vereeniging, Gauteng.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of the manufacturing production team.
• Ensure activities follow GMP, SOPs, and safety regulations.
• Monitor performance, address deviations, meet schedules and quality standards.
• Train and mentor operators on processes, equipment, safety.
• Oversee operation and maintenance of equipment with engineering/maintenance.
• Manage raw material inventory and availability.
• Conduct safety inspections and maintain safe environment.
• Investigate deviations, OOS, and customer complaints.
• Contribute to process improvement to reduce waste and improve quality.
• Maintain production records, batch documentation, shift handover.
• Collaborate with QA/QC and other departments to resolve issues.
• Assist in validation/qualification of new equipment and processes.
