Job summary

Absolute Pets (Pty) Ltd. is seeking a skilled marketing copywriter to join its team. The role focuses on creating and coordinating copy across multiple platforms, maintaining high content standards, and engaging with social media trends to keep audiences interested.

You will report to the Marketing Manager and work with various departments and external stakeholders to deliver compelling, customer-facing content and campaigns.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in journalism, copywriting, or digital marketing.
• Minimum 2 years full-time working experience in a similar role.
• Copywriting experience.
• Experience writing for social media and blog posts.
• Experience writing copy for marketing material (brochures, flyers, newsletters etc)
• Experience with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PPT

Responsibilities

• Social media: develop, implement and monitor content plan for multiple brands; coordinate content and design elements; liaise with team to gather assets; recruit and monitor influencers; coordinate with shopping centres for content.
• Copywriting and editing: research and write articles and blog posts; write/edit product copy for websites, emails, brochures and other marketing material; manage radio ad content (brief agency, review, edit, provide feedback).
• Website support: monitor website content (product copy, banners, promotions); assist with uploading content to websites.
• General: liaise with industry experts for information; monitor company bio online; provide general copy and content support to the marketing team.
