Job summary

Absa Group in Johannesburg seeks a highly organized Personal Assistant to provide dedicated administrative and operational support to the leadership team within Transactional Banking South Africa. You will manage complex calendars, coordinate stakeholder engagements, and oversee travel logistics, with a focus on discretion, confidentiality, and professional communication.

The role requires 3–5 years of PA/EA experience in corporate/financial services and a Diploma or Higher Diploma in Office

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Office Management, Commerce, or a related field will be advantageous.
  • Higher Diploma in Office Administration is preferred/required.
  • 3–5 years' experience as a Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant, or similar support role.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and prioritise executive calendars, inboxes, meetings, and action items.
  • Coordinate leadership meetings, business reviews, workshops, and stakeholder engagements.
  • Arrange and manage travel logistics, including flights, accommodation, itineraries, and expense claims.
  • Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, presentations, reports, minutes, and other business documentation.
  • Track action items, follow-ups, and deliverables to ensure timely execution.
  • Support governance activities by coordinating reporting requirements, submissions, and key business updates.
  • Manage departmental communications and assist with stakeholder coordination across internal and external parties.
  • Organise team events, offsites, conferences, and client engagements.
  • Maintain accurate filing systems, records, and documentation in line with governance requirements.
  • Provide general administrative support to the leadership team and assist with franchise-wide initiatives as required.

Requirements
Qualifications

Experience

  • Experience supporting senior executives within a corporate or financial services environment is advantageous.
  • Proven experience coordinating meetings, travel, events, and stakeholder engagements.
  • Experience preparing executive presentations, reports, and professional business correspondence.
