Absa Group in Johannesburg seeks a Strategy and Enablement Manager to drive the strategic, operational, and governance agenda for Transactional Banking SA. You will partner with senior leadership to execute strategic priorities and improve business performance through robust reporting.

The role focuses on governance, cross‑functional initiatives, and sales enablement to enhance efficiency and decision-making across the franchise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Postgraduate qualification in Business, Finance, Strategy, or a related discipline will be advantageous.
• CA(SA) qualification preferred.
• 5–8 years' experience in business management, finance, strategy, consulting, corporate banking, or a related environment.
• Experience supporting senior executives and leadership teams.
• Strong background in financial management, business performance reporting, and strategic planning.
• Experience preparing executive committee, board, and governance reporting.
• Proven ability to coordinate complex cross‑functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Strategy Execution & Business Management: Support execution of the Transactional Banking SA strategy and strategic priorities; coordinate delivery plans; identify risks and opportunities; partner with leadership to drive execution.
• Performance Reporting & Business Insights: Manage performance reporting, dashboards, and MI; analyze trends; track progress against objectives; deliver data-driven recommendations.
• Governance & Executive Enablement: Coordinate governance forums, leadership meetings, and executive reports; track commitments and decisions.
• Sales Enablement & Operational Effectiveness: Drive initiatives to improve productivity and efficiency; enhance reporting and processes; support planning and forecasting.
• Stakeholder Management: Build relationships across Sales, Product, Coverage, Finance, Human Capital; coordinate initiatives; align with leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy Execution & Business Management

• Support the execution of the Transactional Banking SA strategy and strategic priorities.
• Coordinate and monitor key strategic initiatives and delivery plans.
• Identify business risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Partner with leadership to drive execution across the franchise.

Performance Reporting & Business Insights

• Manage business performance reporting, dashboards, and management information.
• Analyse business and sales performance trends to generate actionable insights.
• Track progress against financial, strategic, and operational objectives.
• Deliver data-driven recommendations to support executive decision‑making.

Governance & Executive Enablement

• Coordinate governance forums, leadership meetings, business reviews, and executive committees.
• Prepare executive presentations, strategic updates, and management reports.
• Track business commitments, actions, and decisions to ensure delivery and accountability.

Sales Enablement & Operational Effectiveness

• Drive initiatives that improve business productivity and efficiency.
• Enhance reporting, processes, and ways of working across the franchise.
• Support planning, forecasting, and business review processes.

Stakeholder Management

• Build strong relationships across Sales, Product, Coverage, Finance, Human Capital, and other support functions.
• Act as a central coordination point for strategic and cross‑functional initiatives.
• Drive alignment across the broader Transactional Banking leadership team.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
