Job summary

adidas Group in Centurion, Gauteng, is seeking a customer-focused Retail Associate to support daily store operations and deliver outstanding service. You will assist in sales transactions, maintain store standards, and help with product flow and displays to drive store performance.

The ideal candidate has a passion for fashion retail, excellent communication, flexibility to work evenings and weekends, and a proactive approach to learning about products and store procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide adidas level customer service to every shopper.
• Handle sales transactions and POS operations as needed.
• Assist with stock flow from backroom to sales floor.
• Assist in developing product displays following management directions.
• Learn POS system and follow store policies.
• Greet customers and assist with finding products; roles at front door during busy periods.
• Maintain store cleanliness and protect company assets.
• Participate in loss prevention, reporting suspicious activity.
• Engage in in-store and digital training to increase product knowledge.
• Familiarize with Power BI tools to understand store performance.

Job description

PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANIZATION:

Assist management in day-to-day store maintenance while providing excellent service and observing and maintaining all store policies and procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensures the highest level of adidas service is given to each customer.
• As needed, completes any regular sales transactions involving cash, credit, checks, etc.
• Involved indirectly with ticketing of products as well as checking paperwork against items received.
• Assists in product flow from stockroom to sales floor on afill-inbasis.
• Assists in the development of displays of merchandise or follow suggestions or schedules provided by the store management team.
• Attain proficiency with the point-of-sale system by acquiring system utilization skills. Ensure integrity is maintained through attention to policy and procedure.
• Uses selling techniques such as add on sales and describing technical information to customers to enhance salesmanship and reach store and position sales goals.
• Greets customers in the store and assists them in finding the right product. Occasionally, serves primarily as a Greeter at the front door during busy workdays.
• Maintaining general housekeeping standards(Including cleaning of thestore)
• Safekeeping of Company assets
• Loss prevention, monitoring sales floor and reportingany suspicious activity and follow security procedures/ SLAP.
• Ensure they take part inin-storetrainingor digitaltrainingprovided by the company (Atticus/AREA) to ensure they have product knowledge and role best practice.
• Familiarize themselves with Power BI tools to have more understanding of store performance,bestsellers / blackholeproduct.
