Job summary

adidas Group in Cape Town is seeking a customer-focused retail associate to join our store team. You will greet shoppers, help them find the right product, and deliver the highest level of service on every visit.

You will handle sales transactions, assist in product displays, manage stock movement, and participate in in-store training to build product knowledge and sales skills, with exposure to Power BI insights to improve store performance.

Qualifications

• Matric certificate is required.
• 0-1 years of retail experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the highest level of Adidas service to every customer.
• Handle regular sales transactions including cash, credit, checks, etc.
• Assist in product flow from stockroom to sales floor on an on‑fill basis.
• Assist in developing displays and following management schedules.
• Attain proficiency with the POS system and uphold policy and procedures.
• Use selling techniques to reach store and position sales goals.
• Greet customers and assist them in finding the right product; front‑door greeter on busy days.
• Maintain general housekeeping and safekeeping of company assets.
• Support loss prevention and report suspicious activity per security procedures.
• Participate in in-store and digital training to improve product knowledge.
• Familiarize with Power BI to understand store performance.

PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANIZATION:

Assist management in day-to-day store maintenance while providing excellent service and observing and maintaining all store policies and procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensures the highest level of adidas service is given to each customer.
• As needed, completes any regular sales transactions involving cash, credit, checks, etc.
• Involved indirectly with ticketing of products as well as checking paperwork against items received.
• Assists in product flow from stockroom to sales floor on afill-inbasis.
• Assists in the development of displays of merchandise or follow suggestions or schedules provided by the store management team.
• Attain proficiency with the point-of-sale system by acquiring system utilization skills. Ensure integrity is maintained through attention to policy and procedure.
• Uses selling techniques such as add on sales and describing technical information to customers to enhance salesmanship and reach store and position sales goals.
• Greets customers in the store and assists them in finding the right product. Occasionally, serves primarily as a Greeter at the front door during busy workdays.
• Maintaining general housekeeping standards(Including cleaning of thestore)
• Safekeeping of Company assets
• Loss prevention, monitoring sales floor and reportingany suspicious activity and follow security procedures/ SLAP.
• Ensure they take part inin-storetrainingor digitaltrainingprovided by the company (Atticus/AREA) to ensure they have product knowledge and role best practice.
• Familiarize themselves with Power BI tools to have more understanding of store performance,bestsellers / blackholeproduct.
