Job summary

ADvTECH is seeking a People & Culture Consultant to provide HR advisory and operational support across the employee lifecycle, partnering with managers to implement people practices that align with objectives, enhance the employee experience, and ensure compliance with policies.

The role covers workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, development initiatives, payroll support, and HR reporting within the South Africa context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, Organisational Development, or a related field.
• Approximately 3–5 years' relevant HR Generalist or HR Consulting experience.
• Sound knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
• Experience in employee relations, performance management, recruitment, organisational development, engagement initiatives, and HR administration.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR advice and guidance to managers and staff on policies and people-related matters.
• Support workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and employee integration.
• Manage and advise on employee relations, grievances, disciplinary matters, and workplace conflicts.
• Support performance management, talent management, succession planning, and development initiatives.
• Partner with managers to identify challenges and implement practical HR solutions.
• Drive employee engagement, culture, and wellbeing initiatives.
• Assist with learning and development needs analysis and program implementation.
• Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, and HR documentation per policies and legislation.
• Administer HR processes across appointments, transfers, promotions, terminations, and leave.
• Support monthly payroll processes with timely, accurate data submissions.
• Generate HR reports, dashboards, and analytics for decision-making and compliance.
• Coordinate Workplace Skills Plans (WSPs) and Annual Training Reports (ATRs) for SETA compliance.
• Monitor training initiatives, EEO objectives, and transformation reporting.
• Assist with B-BBEE Skills Development verification and related documentation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support Skills Development and transformation initiatives.
• Monitor HR trends and provide insights to management.
• Ensure HR practices comply with labour legislation and governance requirements.
