Job summary

A Staffing Solutions Company in Cape Town seeks an experienced Payroll/Debtors & Creditors Clerk. Responsibilities include processing payroll via Pastel Payroll, managing debtors and creditors, and preparing payment batches. Ideal candidates will have 2-3 years of relevant experience and proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Pastel. This is a full-time role offering competitive benefits.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll/Debtors & Creditors Clerk to join our growing team! If you are skilled in QuickBooks, Pastel Payroll & Accounting and can confidently manage a FNB Business Account, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process payroll accurately using Pastel Payroll
• Manage debtors and creditors using Pastel Accounting / QuickBooks
• Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate records
• Prepare payment batches and perform EFTs via FNB Business Online
• Handle monthly payroll submissions and reports (UIF, PAYE, EMP201)
• Liaise with suppliers and customers on outstanding payments
• Ensure timeous payments and correct allocations

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Pastel Payroll & Pastel Accounting
• Working knowledge of FNB Business Online
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in payroll and bookkeeping
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and reconciliation skills
• Knowledge of SARS submissions
