About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and experienced Payroll Accountant to manage their payroll operations from their offices in Mossel Bay . This role is critical for ensuring timely and accurate payment of employees, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation. You will work closely with HR and finance departments to guarantee the smooth running of the payroll system. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of payroll processes, statutory requirements, and a high level of accuracy and discretion.

Key Responsibilities

• Process the full payroll cycle accurately and efficiently, including calculations, deductions, and payments for all employees.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll legislation, including PAYE, UIF, and SDL regulations.
• Manage payroll reconciliations, investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in employment status.
• Prepare and submit statutory payroll reports to relevant government agencies.
• Liaise with HR to ensure correct data input for new hires, terminations, and salary adjustments.

Requirements
