Responsibilities

• Dispense oversize parcels per SOPs.
• Ensure items are correctly labelled and assigned to the right patient bags.
• Move completed oversize parcels to chutes promptly.
• Replenish stock on oversize station shelves from bulk stock.
• Report stock issues and shortages to supervisor.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards and accurate stock control.
• Assist pickers/fine picking/consolidation teams as needed during peak periods.

Medipost Pharmacy is seeking to recruit an Oversize Administrators for the Chronic Dispensing Unit which is being conducted for the Department of Health in the Western Cape.

Primary purpose of the job

Operational Activities

• Dispensing of oversize parcels according to Standard operating procedures.
• Ensure each item and parcel that leaves oversize station is for the correct patient, labelled correctly and in the correct patient bag.
• Ensure completed oversize parcels are speedily taken to relevant chutes by runners.
• Replenishing of stock onto oversize station shelves from bulk stock.
• Inform supervisor of any out of stock or other stock related problems.
• Oversize item association at wave activation.
• Assisting with wave close out.
• Work with absolute accuracy and speed.
• Keep shelves and all medication items stored at oversize station according to shelf allocation and within GPP standards.
• Any other task as requested by line manager within the employee’s scope of practice:
• Assisting the pickers in the event of work flowing too slowly,
• Assisting the fine picking department if operational pressure requires it,
• Assisting the consolidation department if operational pressure requires it,
• Partaking in the yearly stock take.
• Reporting any challenges that influence the operations to the supervisor or line manager.
• Keeping high housekeeping standards.
