Job summary

Bay Recruit is seeking a Production Supervisor to manage the Services Department and daily operations. You will supervise staff, optimise resources, and ensure service delivery standards while maintaining cost efficiency in production processes.

Key duties include overseeing dies, stereos and ink processes, coordinating material flow, and supervising subordinates to meet quality and delivery targets. You will also apply safety standards and report to the Production Manager.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 certificate is required.
• Diploma in Production Management would be advantageous.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a production environment is required.
• Valid forklift licence would be advantageous.
• Ability to complete tasks accurately and timeously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good planning and time management skills.
• Strong people management skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to follow up and follow through on tasks and commitments.
• Computer literacy is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire services department and its processes (dies, stereos and ink).
• Pro-actively plan, organize, and control resources (manpower & raw materials).
• Monitor Operations and equipment.
• Effectively manage ink consignment stock.
• Order of materials.
• Liaise with internal & external stakeholders.
• Supervise the different sections of the services department.
• Ensure plant efficiency in terms of quality, cost, and on-time-in-full delivery.
• Provide administrative support functions to the Production Manager.
• Oversee the coordination of a new job.
• Action and maintain history packs.
• Proficiently use WMS, Syspro, PC-Topp and Qlik Sense.
