Job summary

Staff Unlimited Recruitment is seeking a Services Supervisor (Packaging Supervisor) in Gqeberha to oversee the services department (dies, stereos and ink), plan and control resources, monitor operations and drive on‑time delivery while maintaining quality and cost targets.

The ideal candidate has a Grade 12 certificate, a Diploma in Production Management is advantageous, and at least 3 years in a production environment.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 certificate required.
• Diploma in Production Management would be advantageous.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a production environment is required.
• Forklift licence would be advantageous.
• Ability to complete tasks accurately and timeously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good planning and time management skills.
• Strong people management skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to follow up and follow through on tasks and commitments.
• Computer literacy is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire services department and its processes (dies, stereos and ink).
• Pro-actively plan, organize, and control resources (manpower & raw materials).
• Monitor Operations and equipment.
• Effectively manage ink consignment stock.
• Order of materials.
• Liaise with internal & external stakeholders.
• Supervise the different sections of the services department.
• Ensure plant efficiency in terms of quality, cost, and on-time-in-full delivery.
• Provide administrative support functions to the Production Manager.
• Oversee the coordination of a new job.
• Action and maintain history packs.
• Proficiently use WMS, Syspro, PC-Topp and Qlik Sense.
