Job summary

AVBOB Group is seeking a production supervisor in South Africa to plan, organize and oversee process and production activities. You will coach subordinates, monitor machine performance, and ensure stock is controlled while aligning with daily schedules.

Responsibilities include implementing 5S, reporting breakdowns, and optimizing production for new products. You will lead a crew and address employee issues, ensuring timely completion of all tasks and proper rotation of operators.

• Plan, organize and oversee process and production
• Implement and monitor 5S components
• Coach and mentor subordinates
• Report machine breakdowns to foreman and ensure timely attention
• Manage materials and ensure stock is properly controlled
• Accept new products and optimize production
• Conduct monthly stock counts
• Coordinate and train others
• Ensure jobs are completed on time and monitor operator performance
• Perform run-rate analysis periodically
• Supervise crew including saw operators and material handlers
• Manufacture according to daily schedule
• Build coffins and personnel
• Address employee issues before HR
• Continuously evaluate operators and ensure rotation is implemented
• Knowledge of setting Sanding machine, NC Wood Lathe machine, Band saw machine, Scrap crusher machine, Profile or Mould wrapping machine

Job description

Planning, Organizing and overseeing process and production

• Responsible for implementing and monitoring of the 5s components
• Responsible for coaching & mentoring of subordinates
• Report machine breakdowns to foreman and ensure timeous attention to machine issues
• Responsible for all the material and making sure the stock is properly controlled
• Accepting the new products developed and optimising production
• Responsible for all monthly stock counting
• Responsible for co-ordinating and training others
• Ensure jobs are completed in due-time, discipline and monitor operator performance
• Perform run-net rate on the periodically
• Supervises crew that includes saw operators and Material handlers
• Responsible for manufacturing according to their daily schedule
• Responsible for building coffins and personnel
• Critical (have knowledge of setting Sanding machine, NC Wood Lathe machine, Band sew machine, Scrap crusher machine, Profile or Mould wrapping machine
• Responsible for addressing employee issues before referring them to HR
• Continuously evaluating operators and ensure rotation is systematically implemented
