Job summary

Radisson Collection Hotel Cape Town seeks an Operations Manager to orchestrate exceptional guest experiences while balancing strategic focus on revenue and commercial results.

You will participate in developing the hotel's business strategy, monitor performance, and drive operational excellence in line with Radisson standards across departments.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years' work experience in hotel management.
• Experience managing brand standards.
• Experience managing owner relationships.
• Ability to resolve conflicts among guests, supervisors and employees.
• Able to collaborate with hotel staff to ensure teamwork.
• Strong verbal communication skills and hotel operations knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement business strategies for the hotel aligned with Radisson Hotel Group standards.
• Develop hotel business strategies and monitor status.
• Regularly monitor and adjust strategies for optimal results.
• Develop annual budget with Executive Committee oversight.
• Contribute to annual marketing, sales and yield plans.
• Improve hotel operations and adhere to brand standards.
• Direct hotel operations per brand standards and policies.
• Maintain operating procedures to support Yes I Can! service.
• Analyze business results and take corrective actions as needed.
• Leverage resources to implement best practices and cost efficiencies.
• Set departmental objectives and supervise managers.
• Implement approved budget and manage revenues and costs daily.

Job Description

As a Operations Manager at RHG Hotel Group, you are the orchestrator of exceptional experiences. Your role goes beyond executing the masterplan; it's about balancing strategic focus on guest experience, revenue generation, and achieving commercial results.

• Participate in the development and implementation of business strategies for the hotel which are aligned with the Radisson Hotel Group and Radisson Collection's overall mission, vision values and strategies.
• Participates in the development of the hotel's business strategies
• Monitors status regularly and adjusts strategies as appropriate
• Develops the annual budget in conjunction with the Executive Committee
• Participates in the development of annual marketing, sales and yield management plans and strategies.
• Continually improve hotel operations and adheres to the hotel brand standards.
• Directs hotel operations in accordance with Radisson and the hotel's standards of operations
• Develops, implements and maintains operating procedures and standards that support employees in their effort to deliver Yes I Can! service and teamwork.
• Analysis business results on a regular and takes actions to improve results as appropriate
• Leverages system-wide expertise and resources where possible in order to incorporate best practices and deliver services on a cost-effective basis.
• Sets objectives for each department and supervises the department manager
• Implements the approved budget, monitors revenue sand costs on a daily basis and takes corrective action
• Control costs by adhering to standards of operations for forecasting, budgeting, scheduling, payroll control and other expense management systems.

Qualifications

• Able to resolve conflicts guests, supervisors and employees
• Able to collaborate effectively with other hotel employees and managers to ensure teamwork.
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of hotel operations including, preparation of business plans, budget forecasting, quality assurance program, hospitality law and long-range planning.
• Experience in a similar position is beneficial but not essential.
