Job summary

Mediclinic ER24 seeks a qualified emergency response professional to attend to emergency calls and provide basic medical care within the scope of practice.

Responsibilities include ensuring operational readiness for emergency calls, administering patient care according to HPCSA guidelines and scope of practice, and market and maintain a positive public image for ER24 in the communities we serve. Proficiency in English is essential for clear communication.

Qualifications

• ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Basic Ambulance Assistant Certificate
• DESIRED EDUCATION: Training related to Clinical Practice Guidelines published by the Health Professions Council of South Africa advantageous; probation training if required.
• ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 6 months – 1-year road BLS experience
• DESIRED EXPERIENCE: 2 years road BLS experience
• Proficiency in the English language (written and verbal)
• HPCSA guidelines and scope of practice

Required Education

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Basic Ambulance Assistant Certificate

DESIRED EDUCATION: Successful completion of training related to Clinical Practice Guidelines published by the Health Professions Council of South Africa will be advantageous. If not compliant with the clinical practice guidelines at the time of application you will be required to complete this training during your probation period if successful in your application.

Required Experience

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 6 months – 1-year road BLS experience

DESIRED EXPERIENCE: 2 years road BLS experience
