Job summary

ER24 Potchefstroom in Potchefstroom, South Africa, seeks an emergency medical responder to attend to emergency calls and provide basic medical care in line with scope of practice.

The role requires Basic Ambulance Assistant Certificate, 6 months to 1 year road BLS experience, and strong English communication. This is a permanent, on-site position focused on readiness and delivering quality EMS to the community.

Qualifications

• ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Basic Ambulance Assistant Certificate.
• DESIRED EDUCATION: Training related to Clinical Practice Guidelines published by the Health Professions Council of South Africa will be advantageous; probation period training if not yet compliant.
• ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 6 months–1 year road BLS experience.
• DESIRED EXPERIENCE: 2 years road BLS experience.
• Proficiency in the English language (written and verbal).

REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Basic Ambulance Assistant Certificate

DESIRED EDUCATION: Successful completion of training related to Clinical Practice Guidelines published by the Health Professions Council of South Africa will be advantageous. If not compliant with the clinical practice guidelines at the time of application you will be required to complete this training during your probation period if successful in your application.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 6 months – 1-year road BLS experience

DESIRED EXPERIENCE: 2 years road BLS experience
