Job summary

Mediclinic is seeking a dedicated emergency medical responder to attend to emergency calls and provide basic medical care in line with the scope of practice. This role focuses on rapid response, patient assessment, and coordination with EMS teams.

Requirements include Basic Ambulance Assistant Certificate, 6 months to 1 year road BLS experience, and knowledge of HPCSA guidelines; training during probation may be provided if needed. Fluency in English essential.

Required Education

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Basic Ambulance Assistant Certificate

DESIRED EDUCATION: Successful completion of training related to Clinical Practice Guidelines published by the Health Professions Council of South Africa will be advantageous. If not compliant with the clinical practice guidelines at the time of application you will be required to complete this training during your probation period if successful in your application.

Required Experience

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 6 months – 1-year road BLS experience

DESIRED EXPERIENCE: 2 years road BLS experience
