Placements24 seeks a Field Service Engineer to install, service and repair robotic systems at client sites in the Gauteng region. You will diagnose issues, perform maintenance, and train client staff to operate and sustain equipment.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in field service for robotics or automation, with strong problem-solving skills, the ability to read schematics, and willingness to travel across Gauteng.

Qualifications

• Relevante degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics.
• 3–5 years in field service with robotics or automation systems.
• Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and schematics-reading skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission and set up robotic systems at client sites.
• Perform routine maintenance and preventative servicing.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software issues.
• Repair or replace faulty components to minimize downtime.
• Provide technical training and support to client staff.
• Read manuals, schematics and engineering drawings; document service reports.
