Placements24 is seeking an Online Digital Literacy Instructor to empower South Africans from a remote home base in Centurion. You will design and deliver online courses, workshops, and one-on-one sessions covering basic to advanced digital skills.

You will leverage LMS platforms and web conferencing tools to engage diverse learners, assess progress, and provide personalized coaching, all while promoting digital inclusion and safe online practices across the nation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, CS, IT, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of teaching or training in digital literacy.
• Strong grasp of OS, internet, email, word processing, spreadsheets, online safety.
• Experience with LMS and online collaboration tools (Zoom/Meet/Teams).
• Excellent online presentation and facilitation skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, curate, and update digital literacy curriculum and training materials for various online platforms.
• Deliver engaging and interactive online training sessions, webinars, and workshops to diverse learner groups.

• Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback to foster skill development.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Education, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Demonstrable experience (minimum 4 years) in teaching or training, specifically in digital literacy, computer skills, or a related IT subject.
• Strong understanding of fundamental digital concepts, including operating systems, internet browsing, email, word processing, spreadsheets, and online safety.
• Experience with various Learning Management Systems (LMS) and online collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams).
• Excellent presentation, communication, and facilitation skills, adapted for an online environment.
• Ability to explain technical subjects clearly and patiently to a non-technical audience.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage time effectively in a remote work setting.
• Reliable high-speed internet connection and a suitable home office setup.
• Must be legally authorized to work remotely in South Africa .
