Job summary

Atlas Copco Industrial SA (Pty) Ltd in Jet Park, Boksburg, South Africa is seeking a Service Sales Engineer to drive service and aftermarket sales for pumps, leveraging technical knowledge to match customer needs. You will develop opportunities, prepare quotations, build strong customer relationships, and work towards CRS service and part sales targets while maintaining market awareness.

The role requires a proactive, self-motivated team player with a valid driver's license and hands-on pump

Qualifications

Experience in pumps sales and/or a technical background in pumps.
Knowledge of pump applications, components and maintenance requirements, with the ability to translate customer needs into suitable service and aftermarket solutions.
Ability to maintain good customer relationships.
Good planning and organizational skills.
Ability to convert sales.
Suitable tertiary qualification or experience.
Valid drivers’ license.

Responsibilities

Identify and develop pump service and aftermarket sales opportunities, including spare parts, servicing and repairs.
Understand customer’s pumping requirements and recommend suitable service solutions, drawing on technical product knowledge.
Prepare part, service and repair quotations for customers.
Ensure CRS Sales targets for Service Operations and Part Sales are met.
Continuously drive customer satisfaction by facilitating fast and efficient service.
Grow the CRS Business by improving the 1:1 ratio and increasing customer share in the Equipment population.
Maintain and increase customer share by conducting regular customer visits.
Prepare monthly reports of activities and statistics of quotations vs orders received.
Monitor and report on competitor and pirate activity in the area and at key customers.
Have in-depth knowledge of Atlas Copco competitors’ products and market share in your area of responsibility.
Report on the pricing structure of our competitors and changes.
Involvement of tenders, quotations and proposals.
Monthly/quarterly structure quality meetings with key clients.
Carry out any function or duty as may be required in terms of “The Way We Do Things”.
Promote company image, service, spares and sales.
Assist marketing with service proposals.
