Placements24 is seeking a capable Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team in Klerksdorp, North West, ZA. You will design, develop, and test mechanical components and assemblies, using CAD tools and collaborating with cross-functional groups to deliver robust solutions.

You will contribute to calculations, drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing support, while growing your skills in a hands-on, on-site environment with supportive leadership and real project impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2-4 years of experience in mechanical design and engineering.
• Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.
• Ability to work effectively in an on-site team environment.

Responsabilités

• Assist in the design and development of mechanical assemblies and sub-systems using CAD software.
• Perform engineering calculations and analyses to support design decisions and validate performance.
• Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Collaborate with manufacturing and production teams to ensure designs are feasible and optimized for production.
• Support testing and validation activities, documenting results and troubleshooting issues.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to problem-solving sessions.
• Maintain project documentation and adhere to established engineering standards and procedures.
