Job summary

Placements24 in Nelspruit is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to design process equipment and systems for industrial applications on-site.

You will create 3D models and drawings using SolidWorks or AutoCAD, perform FEA and thermal analysis, and ensure compliance with ASME Section VIII.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in mechanical design for process equipment.
• Proficiency in CAD software and familiarity with PDM/PLM systems.
• Experience with pressure vessel design codes (ASME Section VIII) is essential.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical equipment for industrial processes (reactors, mixers, pumps, heat exchangers).
• Create 3D models, 2D drawings, and P&IDs using SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Perform stress (FEA), thermal, and fluid dynamics analyses for equipment design.
• Ensure designs comply with ASME, PED codes.
• Prepare BOMs and technical specifications for fabrication.
• Collaborate with process engineers and manufacturing teams.
