Placements24 is seeking an experienced Logistics and Operations Administrator for our client in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. The role focuses on coordinating shipments, managing inventory, and liaising with drivers and partners to ensure smooth daily operations.

You will handle shipping documents, maintain records, generate performance reports, and support a fast-paced logistics team on-site in Richards Bay. A strong eye for detail and proactive problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics administration or operations support.
• Strong understanding of supply chain and logistics processes.
• Proficiency with logistics software and MS Office (Excel, Word).
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong communication with internal teams and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and track shipments to ensure timely delivery.
• Manage inventory levels and conduct regular stocktakes.
• Liaise with shipping lines, transport providers, and third-party logistics partners.
• Prepare and process shipping documents (bills of lading, invoices, customs declarations).
• Maintain accurate operational records and update logistics management system.
• Handle client inquiries and provide shipment updates.
• Resolve operational issues and discrepancies promptly.
• Generate reports on performance, inventory, and delivery times.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff for loading/unloading efficiency.
