Placements24 is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor for our Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal facility to oversee daily operations, ensure inventory accuracy, and maintain stringent safety practices. The role requires hands-on leadership across receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and dispatch, with a focus on efficiency and staff development.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar
• Experience with inventory management and logistics procedures
• Certified to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a warehouse
• Willingness to reside in Richards Bay or relocate

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of the warehouse team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and accurately
• Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations
• Enforce health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment
• Manage inventory levels, conduct stocktakes, and ensure inventory record accuracy
• Ensure timely picking, packing, and dispatch of customer orders
• Train new team members on warehouse procedures and safety
• Monitor team performance and provide feedback and coaching
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse facility
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
• Liaise with management to report status and identify improvement areas
