Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive HR Officer to join our client in Paarl, Western Cape. You will manage HR operations, support policies, and partner with employees and management to sustain a compliant, positive workplace.

The role requires a Bachelor's in HR or related field and at least 3 years in a generalist HR function. On-site work in Paarl with focus on labor law compliance and HR processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Industrial Psychology or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a generalist HR role.
• Solid understanding of South African labor law and HR best practices.
• Experience with HRIS systems and proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Manage employee records and ensure data accuracy within the HRIS.
• Administer recruitment processes, including job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and offer letters.
• Support the onboarding and offboarding processes for all employees.
• Assist with the administration of employee benefits, payroll queries, and statutory contributions.
• Provide guidance and support to employees and line managers on HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
• Handle employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and facilitate resolutions in line with company policy.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of HR initiatives, including training, performance management, and employee engagement.
• Ensure compliance with South African labor laws, including the Basic Conditions of Employment Act and Employment Equity Act.
• Prepare HR reports and documentation as required by management.
• Promote a positive workplace culture and support HR projects as assigned.
