Placements24 is seeking a diligent Civil Site Engineer to oversee on-site infrastructure projects in the Bloemfontein region. The role focuses on supervising construction crews, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring work meets design specs, safety regulations, and project timelines.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum 3 years' site supervision experience.
• Experience with earthworks, road construction, or bulk infrastructure.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in site management software and MS Office.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regionally.
• ECSA registration is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily on-site civil construction activities (roads, earthworks, bulk services).
• Ensure adherence to drawings, specifications, and QA procedures.
• Monitor progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Enforce health and safety regulations on site.
• Prepare progress reports for project management.
• Manage site logistics, equipment, and materials.
• Verify as-built information and participate in handovers.
