Placements24 is assisting a reputable civil engineering contractor in finding a diligent Site Engineer to join the project team in Klerksdorp, North West. Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field is required.
• Minimum of 4 years' experience as Site Engineer or similar site-based role in civil construction.
• Experience managing site operations for infrastructure projects (roads, earthworks, concrete structures).
• Familiarity with SA construction regulations and safety standards; strong planning and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all civil works on site, ensuring compliance with drawings and specs.
• Plan and schedule daily site activities, coordinating labour and equipment resources.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety and environmental policies.
• Conduct quality control checks and testing of materials and workmanship.
• Prepare daily site reports including progress, resources, and issues.
• Liaise with project manager, consulting engineers and subcontractors on site matters.
• Manage setting out of works and verify levels and dimensions.
• Maintain records of site activities and measurements for interim payments.
• Identify and address site problems promptly with the project team.
• Assist in managing site logistics, temporary works and welfare facilities.
