Job summary

Dis-Chem Life is seeking a Retail Financial Sales Consultant who actively engages customers on the retail floor to turn visits into meaningful financial conversations. You will introduce funeral, life, and other insurance solutions in simple, relatable language and guide customers through digital quotation and application processes.

This role is not desk-based; you will approach customers confidently, understand their needs, and convert conversations into qualified sales while maintaining

Qualifications

• 2+ years proven experience in a customer-facing retail sales environment.
• Demonstrated success in face-to-face sales and consultative selling.
• Experience in fast-paced retail with high customer volumes.
• Ability to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.
• Proven ability to engage customers, generate opportunities and convert conversations into outcomes.
• Comfortable promoting and closing products or services face-to-face.

Responsibilities

• Proactively engage customers throughout the store to create sales opportunities.
• Identify conversations and opportunities with customers in a natural, respectful manner.
• Ask questions to understand immediate needs and financial concerns, including family responsibilities.
• Explain Dis-Chem Life funeral, life and other insurance solutions in simple language.
• Turn conversations into consultations and sales opportunities.
• Guide customers through quotation, application and verification processes using digital tools.
