Placements24 is seeking an accomplished Senior Project Manager to lead major offshore wind energy projects from our Randburg office with a hybrid work arrangement. This executive role covers the full lifecycle from feasibility and design through to construction and commissioning, managing budgets, schedules, resources, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Civil) or a related field.
• PMP or equivalent certification is essential.
• 10+ years of proven experience in project management, with a significant focus on large infrastructure or renewable energy projects, specifically offshore wind.
• Demonstrated success in managing budgets exceeding R500 million and complex project schedules.
• Strong understanding of offshore construction methodologies, supply chain, and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing remote work with necessary site visits and office presence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, execution, and closing of large-scale offshore wind projects.
• Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation effectively.
• Lead and motivate multidisciplinary project teams, including engineers, contractors, and consultants.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, including government agencies, local communities, and investors.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing challenges and implementing corrective actions.
