Moonspin in Cape Town is seeking a NOC Level 2 Support Engineer to monitor, diagnose, and resolve incidents across our complex environments in a 24/7, fast-paced setting. The role requires excellent communication and the ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

You will monitor dashboards, Slack channels, and runbooks; perform troubleshooting and incident analysis; escalate when necessary to SRE, DBAs and Dev Support, and contribute to post-incident reports.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in a NOC 24/7 support role.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Background in Linux administration and related technologies.
• Experience with cloud apps and monitoring tools; AWS a must.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Dashboards of key metrics and detect incidents early.
• Proactively monitor Slack channels for internal/external issues.
• Investigate, diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents when possible.
• Escalate to SRE/DBA/Dev Support and work with them until resolution.
• Participate in war rooms for P1/2 issues to restore operations quickly.
• Contribute to root cause analyses and incident reports.
• Update runbooks and share knowledge with the team.
• Improve monitoring, maintenance, and escalation processes.
• Develop tooling to enhance NOC efficiency and uptime dashboards.
