Placements24 is seeking a proactive Network Planning Engineer to join its Bloemfontein team. The role focuses on long-term capacity forecasting, network expansion, and technology assessment to keep the telecoms network competitive.

You will analyze performance data, evaluate new technologies, and collaborate with operations to plan and implement upgrades across the network infrastructure in the Free State, shaping future investments and capacity decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in network design, planning, or engineering within the telecoms industry.
• Strong understanding of network architecture, capacity planning principles, and forecasting methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop long-term strategic plans for network expansion and upgrades.
• Conduct capacity planning and forecasting to anticipate future network traffic demands.
• Analyze network performance data to identify areas for improvement and investment.
• Evaluate new technologies and vendor solutions for potential integration into the network.
