Herotel Telecoms (Pty) Ltd is seeking a Technical Assistant in George to support fibre optic and wireless installations and maintenance. You will assist Senior Technicians with site surveys, equipment mounting, and cable runs, while keeping sites tidy and safe.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and the ability to work independently in various environments, including heights and confined spaces, with overtime as required.

Qualifications

• Matric required.
• Strong organisational skills and time management.
• Willingness to work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with site surveys, including signal scans and photos for equipment placement.
• Support installations by mounting brackets, cable hooks, and running cables under supervision.
• Perform CPE recovery, removing equipment and tidying work sites.
• Participate in callout repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Ensure tools and consumables are organised and stocked for daily operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and order at job sites after installations or repairs.
• Follow instructions from the Install team and priorities tasks accordingly.
• Adhere to Health and Safety procedures and maintain high safety standards.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team in all weather conditions, confined spaces, and at heights.
• Demonstrate pride in work ethic and the quality of installations.
