Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Network Infrastructure Technician to support operations in Stellenbosch. You will install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain network hardware and software to ensure robust and secure connectivity for all users in the Western Cape.

The ideal candidate has experience as a Network Technician or Administrator, with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing knowledge, and relevant vendor hardware exposure.

Qualifications

• Solid experience as a Network Technician or Network Administrator.
• Familiar with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and routing.
• CCNA or Network+ certification is a plus.
• Ability to troubleshoot under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain network infrastructure devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Monitor network performance and security, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
• Perform regular network maintenance and system upgrades to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, hardware failures, and software problems for end-users and systems.
• Implement and manage network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
• Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
