About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and technically adept Remote Network Infrastructure Technician to join their distributed team, supporting operations across Gauteng and beyond. In this fully remote role, you will be responsible for the remote monitoring, configuration, and troubleshooting of our clients' network infrastructure, ensuring maximum uptime and performance. You will work closely with on-site teams and clients to resolve network issues, perform remote installations and upgrades, and maintain network documentation. Key Responsibilities

• Remotely monitor network performance, identify potential issues, and implement proactive solutions to prevent outages.
• Configure, install, and upgrade network hardware and software components remotely using management platforms.
• Provide remote technical support and troubleshooting assistance to clients and on-site field technicians.
• Document network configurations, procedures, and issue resolutions accurately.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on network design, optimization, and security enhancements.
• Respond to network alerts and incidents in a timely manner to minimize service disruption.

Requirements

• Proven experience in network administration, support, or a related IT infrastructure role.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and hardware (routers, switches, firewalls).
• Proficiency with remote management tools and network monitoring software.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose complex network issues remotely.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, essential for remote collaboration.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or equivalent experience is highly desirable for this role in Installation & Maintenance .
