Placements24 is seeking a proactive Remote Network Infrastructure Specialist to manage and maintain critical network systems for a distributed organization. You will monitor health, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement upgrades to ensure stable, secure connectivity across regions, including Bloemfontein.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in network administration and infrastructure management.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), switching, and firewalls.
• Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios) and packet analysis.
• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent remote troubleshooting skills and the ability to work autonomously.
• Strong communication skills and experience working in a distributed team.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network performance, availability, and security using advanced network management tools.
• Diagnose and resolve complex network issues, including connectivity problems, performance bottlenecks, and security breaches.
• Implement and manage network infrastructure upgrades, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and SOPs.
