Placements24 is recruiting a National Sales Director for a prominent FMCG beverage leader based in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. The role drives national sales strategy, leads the field teams, and steers revenue growth across South Africa.

The successful candidate will build strong distributor and retailer partnerships, translate market insights into actionable plans, and mentor a high‑performing sales organization, while traveling nationally as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or related field; MBA desirable.
• Minimum 8–10 years of progressive sales leadership in FMCG/beverages.
• Proven ability to lead large national sales teams and drive growth.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive national sales strategy aligned with objectives.
• Lead and inspire a high-performing national sales team with clear performance expectations.
• Achieve and exceed national sales targets and revenue goals.
• Build and maintain relationships with national accounts, distributors and retailers.
• Analyse sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth.
• Develop and manage the national sales budget for efficient resource allocation.
