Select Motor Recruitment in Gauteng is seeking a seasoned leader to drive Dealer Development and Business Development in the automotive sector. You will align dealer networks with Brand objectives and lead performance through KPI governance and strategic plans.

You will guide dealer relations, promote OEM standards, develop fleets and finance partnerships, and engage with industry bodies to secure growth and compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Automotive industry experience is a top priority.
• 5–10 years in a similar OEM-level role within the motor industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop dealer development plans aligned with brand objectives.
• Guide dealer relations team to identify suitable dealers meeting criteria and hit targets.
• Create promotion plans for new dealers to understand OEM requirements and enter operation quickly.
• Advise on OEM–dealer liaison to ensure understanding of products, policies and requirements.
• Achieve dealer sales targets (annual, quarterly, monthly).
• Organize dealer meetings to ensure expected results.
• Develop fleet business and identify key corporate customers to meet targets.
• Follow up fleet and car rental projects and resolve issues to protect the company.
• Develop financial business including floorplan and retail finance with banks and other financiers.
• Improve brand competitiveness in automotive finance using retail finance as a tool.
• Maintain relations with industry associations and key customers (e.g., NAAMSA).
• Develop government procurement business to ensure RT57 listing and sales contribution.
