Job summary

ZealHR is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage the full finance function across multiple entities in the agricultural sector in Wellington, South Africa. This role offers a broad accounting experience with significant ownership and accountability.

Joining a stable, well-established organisation, you will report directly to the Financial Director and be involved in management accounts, compliance, budgeting, and financial analysis. A B.Com Accounting qualification and strong Xero experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' relevant accounting experience.
• Experience with multiple entities or group structures is advantageous.
• Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting function across multiple entities.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Manage creditors, debtors, reconciliations, and cashbook functions.
• Process payroll and related reconciliations.
• Perform VAT submissions and ensure statutory compliance.
• Maintain intercompany accounts and reconciliations.
• Prepare audit and review files, liaising with auditors.
• Manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
• Assist with budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis.
