Job summary

ZealHR Accountant role: SAICA/SAIPA articles completed, Pretoria-based remote option. You will manage GL across entities, process journals, perform reconciliations, and support month-end closes and intercompany activity.

Experience in multi-currency accounting, strong Excel, and detail-oriented problem solving are essential. This role suits a proactive accountant accustomed to multilingual, multi-entity environments with robust reporting needs.

Qualifications

• BCom in Accounting or Finance.
• Completed SAICA or SAIPA accounting articles essential.
• Sage Pastel, Xero or QuickBooks Online experience.
• Transaction-intensive industry experience.
• Strong month-end accounting experience.
• Gauteng-based and comfortable working fully remotely.
• Ability to investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies independently.
• Strong MS Excel skills (PivotTables, XLOOKUP / VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, IF formulas and large data sets).
• Multi-company / group accounting experience advantageous.
• Multi-currency experience advantageous.
• Management accounts, cash flow, VAT and audit experience advantageous.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting and general ledger processes across entities.
• Prepare and process journals.
• Perform bank, supplier and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Investigate variances and reconciliations.
• Manage intercompany reconciliations across entities.
• Assist with monthly close and management accounts.
• Support multi-currency accounting and FX reconciliations.
• Prepare schedules for audits and year-end.
• Assist with cash-flow reporting and forecasting.
• Identify control weaknesses and drive improvements in accounting processes.
