Job summary

ZealHR is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage the full finance function across multiple entities in the agricultural sector in Wellington, South Africa. This role offers a broad accounting experience with significant ownership and accountability.

Joining a stable, well-established organisation, you will report directly to the Financial Director and be involved in management accounts, compliance, budgeting, and financial analysis. A B.Com Accounting qualification and strong Xero experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' relevant accounting experience.
• Experience with multiple entities or group structures is advantageous.
• Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting function across multiple entities.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Manage creditors, debtors, reconciliations, and cashbook functions.
• Process payroll and related reconciliations.
• Perform VAT submissions and ensure statutory compliance.
• Maintain intercompany accounts and reconciliations.
• Prepare audit and review files, liaising with auditors.
• Manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
• Assist with budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis.

Reporting directly to an experienced Financial Director, this opportunity offers variety, autonomy, and broad exposure across the finance function. From transactional accounting and compliance through to management reporting, audits, budgeting, and financial analysis, you will be involved in every aspect of the financial operations and contribute to informed business decision‑making.
