Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Field Service Technician to install, configure and test mobility equipment at client sites in Benoni. You will perform routine maintenance and diagnostics, troubleshoot on-site and remotely, and maintain detailed service reports. You will also manage inventory and provide end-user training on operation of equipment.

The role combines hands-on field work with administrative tasks from a local hub or remote location, and occasional travel across client sites within the region.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Field Service Technician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of electronic systems and mechanical repairs.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently within Benoni region.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test mobility equipment at client locations.
• Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment.
• Troubleshoot issues on-site and remotely with timely solutions.
• Maintain detailed service reports including parts used and time spent.
• Manage service inventory and ensure parts availability for repairs.
• Provide technical training and support to end-users on equipment operation.
